M-GO is a pay-as-you-go, digital entertainment service that offers a wide selection of movies and TV shows, including the newest releases. In short, M-GO makes entertainment easier to find, watch and enjoy.
M-GO is built right into your Roku player so it’s easy to buy or rent movies and TV shows. Plus, for your convenience, M-GO transactions are handled through your Roku account.
You don’t need an M-GO account to browse available content and watch trailers, but you will need an account to rent or purchase content – and to take advantage of all of M-GO’s features.
You can create an account on M-GO for free, and there are never any subscription or late fees – you just pay for movies and TV shows you want, as you go. Plus, M-GO is available on a wide variety of devices, including computers, tablets, smart TVs and other Rokus!
You can create an M-GO account right from your Roku player. You’ll be prompted to create an account when you rent, buy or add a title to your M-GO Watchlist.
Simply select “confirm account creation”, and an M-GO account will be created for you.
When you create your M-GO account, please use a valid email address, as we’ll send you a welcome mail with additional details about your account, including an M-GO password that you will need to use to log into M-GO on other devices.
Yes, once you create an M-GO account, you can use your email address and your M-GO password on any of M-GO’s supported devices.
Keep in mind that you can access your M-GO content everywhere! If you buy a movie on M-GO using your Roku player you can also watch the movie on M-GO with a web browser or any other supported device.
One note: if you created your M-GO account on a Roku device, and then you use another device with M-GO, you may be prompted to enter credit card information for your M-GO account; this is because to help protect you, Roku and M-GO don’t share credit card information.
There are a few ways to log in to M-GO on your Roku.
To log in to M-GO with an existing account, select “I already have an M-GO account” on the account creation screen. You will be prompted to enter the email address and password associated with your existing M-GO account.
Alternatively, you can sign into your M-GO account from either the Movies or TV Shows main screen by pressing “*” on your Roku remote and then selecting “Sign in.”
You’ll also be prompted to log in, if you haven’t done so yet, when you first try to make a transaction on M-GO or add something to your M-GO Watchlist.
Currently, you can watch M-GO content on up to 5 registered devices per M-GO account, including Roku devices. A device can only be registered to one M-GO account.
If you have exceeded this device registration limit, you can de-register a device in order to add another, subject to certain restrictions. Learn more about de-registering a device from your M-GO account.
While on the Roku home screen, from either “Movies” or “TV Shows,” press the “*” button on your Roku remote, and then select “About M-GO.”
If you can’t remember the password for your M-GO account, go to M-GO’s website and on the login page select “Forgot password.” You’ll be prompted to enter the email address associated with your M-GO account, and then we’ll send you instructions on how to reset your password. You’re also welcome to contact M-GO customer care at email@example.com; we’re always here to help.
When you create your M-GO account on Roku, M-GO will email your M-GO password to the email address associated with your Roku player. You’ll need to use your this email address to log in to your M-GO account.
To see all of the movies you’ve rented or purchased, go to “Movies” then select “My Movie Library.”
To see all of the movies you’ve rented or purchased, from Roku’s main navigation go to “TV shows” then select “My TV Library.”
Not all movies are available as rentals. This is defined by the studios and might be different by title. If the movie you wish to rent is not yet available for rental, please check back later.
If you are streaming HD content, the stream should adjust to accommodate changes in your connection speed. However, it is not possible to switch viewing from an HD stream to a SD stream or vice versa.
Playback quality can vary depending upon how many people are sharing your bandwidth and your connection type, and because of the gremlins (yep, they're not only in movies) that seem to control the speed of the Internet.
A couple of easy things to try include restarting your router or re-seating cables – and, by the way, using a wired connection with some Roku devices might be more reliable than a wireless connection.
Any M-GO rentals or purchases made using your Roku player will be charged to your Roku account. When confirming your purchase you may need to enter your 4-digit Roku PIN (if you have setup your Roku account in this manner).
You can access M-GO content rented or purchased on Roku on other M-GO supported devices as long as you are signed in to the same M-GO account.
To help protect your account from unauthorized activity and charges, you may be asked to enter your Roku PIN (if you have setup your Roku account in this manner).
For more information on your Roku PIN, please visit owner.roku.com.
Your Roku account can only be used to pay for M-GO rentals and purchases that you make on Roku players. When you first buy or rent on M-GO on another device (not a Roku player), you’ll be asked for a credit card. This is because M-GO and Roku, in order to help protect your data, do not share the credit card linked to your Roku account.
Yes. You can access M-GO content rented or purchased on Roku on other M-GO supported devices as long as you are signed in with the same M-GO account.
Rental terms vary due to studio policies and in regard to certain titles. Specific terms and conditions are always available before you complete a transaction. In general:
You can watch a rental as many times as you like within 24 hours after you click “Watch now” (certain titles may give you up to 48 hours).
Rentals expire after the rental period. Usually, you'll be able to rent the movie again, or, in most cases, you can purchase it so you can watch it as many times as you want!
The credit card associated with your Roku account will be billed for all M-GO transactions made on your Roku device. To update this card, go to owner.roku.com and select Update “Payment Info.”
You can review your transaction history, including M-GO transactions, on Roku’s website at owner.roku.com by selecting “Review Purchase History.”
M-GO uses the existing Roku billing service to make things as easy as possible for you. Roku will provide you a receipt for each transaction.
Certain M-GO promotions will be automatically applied on your Roku device (learn more at www.mgo.com/roku).
At this time specific M-GO promo codes cannot be redeemed on Roku.
To use an M-GO promo code that you may have received through email or another partner, please go to www.mgo.com and conduct your transaction; during checkout, you’ll be able to apply any valid promo code.
UltraViolet™ is a cool, new cloud-based way of buying and managing movies that is supported by many leading entertainment and technology companies. When you buy a movie from a participating service provider like M-GO, the title is automatically added to your UltraViolet™ library.
You can playback any UltraViolet™ you've purchased elsewhere if M-GO also has a licensing deal for that title. If you've linked your accounts and have purchased an UltraViolet™ title for which we don't yet have an UltraViolet™ licensing deal, we'll provide you info on where to go play it out. But know we're working to make all UltraViolet™ titles available directly through M-GO as soon as we can!
Once you link M-GO to a free UltraViolet™ account, you can purchase an M-GO UltraViolet title without having to link your accounts again.
Please visit www.uvvu.com for more information about UltraViolet™.
You can create an UltraViolet™ account right from your Roku player. You’ll be provided the option to create an UltraViolet™ account when you try to purchase an UltraViolet™ title on M-GO if need be. Simply provide your date of birth and select “confirm account creation” and an UltraViolet™ account will be created for you (or you’ll be given the option to link to an existing UltraViolet™ account). UltraViolet™ will send you a welcome mail with additional details about your UltraViolet™ account.
Yes, your available UltraViolet™ titles can be found under Movies > My UltraViolet™ Library. You will be able to play any movies available on M-GO for which M-GO has UltraViolet™ rights, or you’ll be redirected to www.uvvu.com.
Some titles are UltraViolet™-enabled, which allows you to access them through any UltraViolet™ service, not just M-GO. In order to buy and retrieve such titles, however, you will need to have an associated UltraViolet account. Read more about UltraViolet and M-GO above or visit www.uvvu.com for more information about UltraViolet™.
Yes, you will be able to play your UlatraViolet™ movie on any M-GO supported device.

If you already have an UltraViolet™ account you can link it to your M-GO account from Movies or TV shows by pressing “*” on your Roku remote and selecting “Link to an existing UltraViolet™ account.”

UltraViolet™ will send you an email message that asks you to confirm the link between your M-GO account and your UltraViolet™ account. Once you’ve confirmed the account linking, you’ll see your UltraViolet™ library in the Movies section on your Roku device.
